04 Accord 4Cyl, Need brake pad recommendation
I have an '04 Accord 4cyl that I beat the snot out of. I am VERY hard on the car, and VERY VERY hard on the brakes. I have hub caps, so dust isn't a concern. Noise isn't really a concern either.
I need maximum stopping power, for minimum price, and without warping the rotors that I'm about to have resurfaced.
Any ideas?

Re: 04 Accord 4Cyl, Need brake pad recommendation
EBC makes a pad, apparently in each of their product lines...
Keep in mind that brake rotor warpage isn't necessarily a byproduct of brake rotors... It's a byproduct of heat and resurfacing those rotors, only make them more susceptible to warping since there's less material to dissipate heat. Driving habits are the more likely cause (not necessarily bad habits, but stop and go driving, 'enthusiastic' driving, etc.), as are undersized brakes. I am not convinced that a higher performance brake pad is what you need as performance oriented brake pads offer more powerful braking at the expense of your brake rotors, making them more likely to warp (especially since their resurfaced, or will be). The advantage of the more aggressive pads is that they are more stable at temperature and tend not to fade, but heat will do that by boiling your brake fluid. Then, we need to talk about tires, I'm sure any brake pad is likely to be enough to overwhelm your tires in stopping performance...
My recommendations?
-Quality vented/slotted rotors
-Performance street oriented brake pads (EBC green are great!)
-A full brake flush with the highest boiling point DOT fluid that is compatible with your car

Axxis Ultimate also known as PBR Ultimate. Lots of brake dust and may squeal, but those pads have very good bite. You will not be disappointed.
