I know this is probably a weird request but, will anyone with an 04 Accord with working Navi in the San Antonio area be willing to meet me in a well lit, public location so that I can test their working disc in my unit to see if I have a bad disc or if I need to replace my unit? I have contacted the dealership and ofcourse they say I need to replace the unit, but I think it may just be the disc and before I spend $168 on a new one I atleast want to make sure thats the issue. Any help anyone can provide in this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I am sure the dealer has one around or in a car they have for sale-won't they let you borrow one on the lot? If not go to another dealer. I know mine would. Heck, they even gave me the updated one and put my old one in the car they had for sale. 99% of customer wouldn't know if it was updated or not as long as it worked.

Naw they all actin' like some lil' biatches....want me to buy a new one or replace the whole system.

find another dealer, there has to be several in or around San Antinio

I found one...was an Audi dealer that had an Accord on the lot. Checked it out and its not the disc so I guess I'm gonna have to send the unit back to Alpine.
