Starting to smell like a lemon...
That sounds like new issue and probably something with installation of short block . Maybe they pinched a wire on the install .
At least its not misfire problem, pain in neck but probably easy fix on there side once they check it out .

It's probably a soft set connector (half plugged in)

I hate to say this, but I am completely losing faith in Honda. They have had the car nearly a week and still have not been able to diagnose this problem. Apparently the Honda-Techline is not able to figure this out either...

This car has been a disaster for my wife and I. So far all they can say is "the good news is its not the new motor" which offers little comfort.

Honda was once the holy-grail of quality and longevity, hell I put 100k on my Integra with almost no problem (20k of that was brutally hard driving as it became my second car). My family had great luck with our other Acura/Honda automobiles as well. There is nothing I wanted more than another trouble-free Honda

I second the comment on the soft set connector problem! This happens more than you would want to believe... I really hope they get you straightened out and restore your faith in honda. Sorry to hear about all your troubles

Got the update for the day, they claim it is working again. This time they drove it for more than 100 miles to see if they had more problems.

I think you should just call it a lemon! I had a electrical problem in my accord. The Navigation was messed up. I spend a week at the dealer, and than called American Honda Corporate, told em if I dont get a new one, My lawyer will be at there Offices in 3 days. I got a brand spankin new one.

The Lemon Laws differ (drastically) by state. So far as I could tell we did not meet 3 of the 4 requirements to qualify as a lemon in the state of Texas. First issue was we had no problems in the first 12 months we owned the car.

Regardless, congrats on getting a new one. I am still working with American Honda on 'compensation' for the issues with this car. I believe we will end up with an 8yr 120k mile warranty. I think this shows Honda is willing to stand behind their cars.

Just wondering if that will be bumper to bumper or powertrain.
