08' Accord 2.4L Oil Consumption Warranty? ?
I'ma try and make a long story short.
Honda had a recall for "sticking piston rings" causing excessive oil consumption, i did Hondas oil consumption test and failed? (not sure if it was a pass or fail) they went ahead and replaced the pistons, piston rings and rod bearings. I get the car back from them a week and half later and put about 3500 miles then the car breaks down on the freeway, the code was like p0304 I think (Cylinder 4 Misfire) I did a compression test and there's 0psi, then I do a cylinder leak down test and the piston is at fault. I ask the service advisor what kind of warranty the "oil consumption job" had and his reply was "it didn't really have one, why?" I explained what happened and what tests I did, and he asked me to bring it in and pay the $90 diagnosis fee and if it was something they did wrong that he would check with Honda if they wanted to fix it , and if it was my fault that I would have to pay for it.
I can't imagine it was something I did, I mean I had the car on cruise control at 70mph and this happened.
Shouldn't this job have some kind of warranty?
