03' Accord Headlight flicker
I recently inherited a 2003 accord, I have driven the car before and noticed the problem but since it wasn't my car I didn't care too much. Now that the car is mine it starts to bother me while I'm driving at night.
The problem seems rather random but it always happens at least once when I'm driving at night and I can't tell if it's just one light or both. It's not so much of a flicker, but I can clearly tell that the bulbs dim for a split moment and then back to normal.
I'm not sure if the bulbs are original or not, although I haven't tried replacing them. Does this issue sound like something any of you are having? Should I just try replacing the bulbs? Battery is also vintage 2003, maybe a new one will solve it?
-Thanks

Re: 03' Accord Headlight flicker
This has been covered at ad nauseum. the car will momentarily draw power from the battery at regular intervals... thus causing a lower/drop in output. Later gens have solved this annoyance by going with a larger battery.
Nothing you do will change it other than the battery, its the way the system works.
I think most of the folks experiencing this to the point of calling attention to it are NOT experiencing a DROP in out put, but actually a RISE in out put while on the higher output switch/setting of the alternator.

I know this is not your chassis... and may not even be an issue for you OP, but here is a picture of the battery where flicker occurs in the 8th gen I-4. you can clearly see how small it is in relation to the slot where a larger battery of a v6 sits.

Well I forgot to mention that I do have a V6 model, but again the battery is original. I have to have it inspected so I'll probably just put in a fresh battery and see what happens.
