wierd distributor roter problem

Default wierd distributor roter problem

it looks like the previous owner of my accord decided to apoxy the rotor onto the (dont know the word for that), looks he may have broke the screw off the last time he changed it, so now i cant get that **** off, do you guys have any good idea to get that off? or that the thing that the rotor sits on, whats it called and how much do you think itl be for that part... thanks in advance!

Your '96 EX should be equipped with a Hitachi Distributor (refer link to illustration)

The rotor (#3) is attached the the distributor shaft (part of #1) by a set screw (#11). If you're careful, you can break off the rotor from the shaft and attempt to remove the epoxy by scrapping and chizeling it off.
If that isn't successful, your only other option is to replace the entire assembly, or try to find someone who rebuilds them. reason?
Honda doesn't make the shaft servicable seperately. Sorry

Hey, I appreciate the kind words and I'll poke my head in from time to time. As out here, I'll promise to limit my responces to what I'm absolutely, positively sure about (which should limit my responces a LOT lol
