distributor problem

distributor problem
Okay...i bought a used distributor.....i tried to remove the rotor but its freaking rusted on! I broke the rotor apart and the metal piece of the rotor is still stuck on the shaft of the distributor...any suggestions on getting it off? Am I going to have to try and cut that metal piece of the rotor on both sides and pry it off?
