where do you accord guys mount your oil coolers?
and what/where do you tap the lines?

i am getting an goldeneagle oil filter adater kit to run a feed line but i dont know where to run the return line. and i would like to avoid drilling and taping my oil pan

any tips and pics would be great

 

just tap the return in the oil pan, if you are not running the sandwich plate, you can tap it from oil pressure sensor unit, just run a brass t

 

I'd rethink this over b4 you pull the trigger on this project (at least your representation of it). If I understand correctly; you're tapping off the oil PSI sensor tap, running it to a free flow cooler and back to the Oil Pan. Wouldn't this cause a massive oil pressure loss? Obviously, I'm missing something.

I'd suggest a Remote Oil Filter Kit with the block adapter, hose(s), Remote Filter Base.
The Block adapter mounts in place of the Oil Filter and provides mounting provisions for the Pressure Hose (center mounted) and Return Hose (off-center mounted).
You could splice into the circuit the cooler core, mounting it behind the lower grille.

from oil filter to pan is a bad idea... but why do you need the oil cooler?

 

I'll try to get you some pics of mine this afternoon if I have time. After reading all that, I'm questioning where mine connections are lol.

 

i am building my f22b1 for boost
and i got an air cooled oil cooler for free from my teacher at school.
(brand new)

i am not running it from my oil sensor

i found a oil drain plug right under the oil filter but i dont know the thread size or pitch, it looks llike a 20mm.

so thats where my lines will be run

and today i took my air out and i relocated the batt to the trunk so i have a good mounting place for the oil cooler
