Re: legend vs. accord v6 calipers (TouringAccord)
What did the Lengend have in the back, drums or disc's? That would make a difference to whether or not that MC would work with disc's all around wouldn't it.

Someone tried this already. Evidently the Legend MC has a different size fitting on it.. thus creating a PITA situation. Don't know what ever came of it though....

I beleive he tried using the Legend master cylinder... the V6 and the 4cyl MC are the same.

edit: to KC, that's the beauty of the Legend or V6 upgrade. All fits under a stock wheel... but unfortunately we do not know the full ramifications at this point.
edit II: my pedal is not (as) squishy (as it was before). It used to be damn rediculous.

Are we talking about the same thread
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=260456
In this thread he only talks about the V6 master cylinder, or am I missing something?
Edit:Try it now.

Yes you are right... now that I think about it I should have known that. I was arguing against myself.
Anyway, once I talk to one of the brake dudes I will get back with ya...

I have the accord V6 calipers, brembo blanks for the V6, goodridge lines, Hawk HP+ pads. Obviously I can't give you an unbiased review of just of the calipers but here's what I thought/think...

i know the Legend and the NSX have the same front caliper (with out the writing of course) and they also share the disk witdth with the prelude vtec

Re: legend vs. accord v6 calipers (Wont be beat)
Why does everyone want to upgrade? How many of you plan on consistantly stopping from 120+mph?

edit: and I like the fact that when I'm flying down the highway with a car full of crap I can nail the brakes and warp those sumbitches.

Re: legend vs. accord v6 calipers (TypeSH)
then how can you do the legend, nsx caliper swap on the vtec roters for the 4th gen lude, does disc diameter not make a difference?
#46
Re: legend vs. accord v6 calipers (ViZ)
you talking about the width which i associate w/ the thickness of the rotor, or are you talking about the diameter of the rotor? the diameter i believe is about the same (or very close) a lil over 11", but the thickness/width of the rotors are different.

Re: legend vs. accord v6 calipers (greensleeper)
Legend calipers are much better than V6 since they are dual vs single...
The caliper itself is not part of unsprung weight since it does not rotate... having to increase the rotor size DOES affect unsprung weight...
I have fluid, SS lines, hawk hp+ pads which has already increased my braking capability... I notice that my brake bias is off...
I would do the legend swap only if I can readjust the brake bias..

Re: legend vs. accord v6 calipers (greensleeper)
It's high school physics... given the same fluid pressure, a dual piston caliper will have greater force acting on the brake pads than a single piston caliper.
