Honda Accord 1990 Accessories??
Hi, im new to honda-tech.com and I have a 1990 Honda Accord EX, 4 door Automatic.
I am currently getting accessories for my car like, cool air intake, exhaust, and i was wondering...what else could i put under the hood of my car to make it faster/ increase horsepower...that doesn't cost a **** load of money. I eventually am going to drop a vtech in it, but thats long term.
Any ideas anyone????
:-D
I am also putting a 4 piece body kit, and i have some Eurolights coming in the mail, its coming along very nicely

Intake, headers and exhaust are a good start. I hope the eurolights you're talking about are not altezzas. Prepare to be bashed if they are.

Unfortunately, You're guilty of speaking an Oxymoron.
Any Motor-head worth his torque wrench will tell the age old axiom:
Real Horsepower costs real money.
Horsepower improvements are accomplished by increases in efficiency.
Things like:
High volume air filters, headers, full flow exhaust systems, synthetic oil, lower viscosity oils, under drive pulleys could all be within your budget.
But if you're looking for real numbers; you'll be looking at:
High Compression Pistons, Ported & Polished Head, specialty camshafts, chipped Ecm w/custom mapping on top of all the other stuff.
Then, If you're really masochistic:
Turbo Charging, Nos and other such boost.
I often borrow from the definition of a boat when I try to explain this "thing" we do:
"<U>A rolling hole in the asphalt that you constantly throw money into</U>"
Not too far off, Huh?
