Icon2 Having an issue.....

Ok, pretty much my issue is that my car won't start and when I try to start it it makes these low clicking sounds and all the lights in the car including dash lights either dim or go out completely. I've been told that it's my starter and I've been told that something is shorting out my system. I just recently installed new aftermarket headlights on my car and they're the "halo" type and I had to wire them into the actual light themselves. I was told that while installing them I could've had a wire touching what it shouldnt have or something like that but I took everything back apart and rewired everything (headlight related) and thoroughly separated and taped everything so I that isn't the problem. Another thing I've done is charged my battery and also have put in another battery to see if that was the problem but that still didn't work. Have had someone try to jump me off and that didn't work either. Please help!!!!!

Had same sort of issue but didnt add anything to car... the ignitor was the problem inside the distributor cap... try to get one from junkyard or ebay and try that... they seem to be a common problem

Thanks for the info so far, so what you're saying is that it wasn't you're starter that was causing the issue

Check the cables (both ends of both cables)....really sounds like a bad ground cable.......What is the voltage at the starter (again both cables) when you are trying to "start" the car.

Ah, dude, you were not the original poster......so your issue wasn't the concern.

Exactly my thoughts! Sounds like a bad ground or battery isn't fully charged.
