I didn't realize 96'-97' used the same block as 94'-95'. They use different intake manifolds, injectors and distributors. I haven't checked other parts.

what the hell!! money talks!! if you don't got it then ur hopeless!! vtec is not important to me! it looks to me that u just wanna show off :0 thats okay! this is what ur asking! 145hp (F-engine) vs 195+hp (H-engine) is it really that bad? honestly! I got my type-R k20a on my stand, saving up to sleeve it! and to get the ecu and tranny rebuild! maybe you should get one and get with it!

The intake manifold and injectors can be swapped from the 94-95 B1 to 96-97 B1. Only difference is the Fuel Injector Air (FIA) control system. It is pretty much a useless system that they put on the OBD1 F22B1 VTEC to help with fuel economy. However, it can be removed and the manifold and injectors can be used in the OBD2 F22B1 configuration.

Joe, you might want to start your own thread and leave this one to the original members questions.

Dude, why you gotta hate on the F? Do you remember when ANY honda engine was considered a joke? I understand the H has more power but I think the F has more potential. C'mon the thing CRAVES boost. Besides not everyone has the $$$ to swap a built K-dub in their accord, but I got the cash to build a mild F that'll clown the 'stangs in my corner. And thats all that matters IMO.

its a monster i have 1 and it ripsss .. it won engine awards for about ten years straight . top engine or some shxxt .type it in google wikipedia b.s . also i know its an expensive and good engine because its an (aluminum /magnesium head. mix) and a iron sleeved block . *(pretty sure the engine blocks iron and iron sleeved .. or aluminum and iron sleeved .. and very low compression.. amazing for building boost

Trying to pad your post stats? you bumped a 4 year old thread to say "it's a monster and it rips da mad VTEC yo" in 5 separate posts.
Troll much?

Yes it is an all aluminum block with iron sleeves! You can pick them up for under $400, I'm pretty sure if you look around there are probably people throwing them away. That's not to say they are junk...there are a tone of them around! Parts are everywhere and yes you can make good power with them....members have been modding them for over 20 years now!

Welcome aboard!

P.S. I think your buddy should have his K24 checked out! I think he must have bolted something on backwards. ...lol
