Default Engine Problems

I was driving down a country road and my car died on me and I don't know what to do. I ws thinking either fuel or electrical systems have malfunction. I replaced the fuel pump and Ignition Coil and the car still won't start(Turns over but doesn't kick in). What could be wrong with my car? Seriously experienced people only please!

Well, first off do you have any check engine lights? That would be a good start. Also check and see if you hear your fuel pump prime when you turn your key to acc.

where do you live at, has it been getting cold up there? If so check your battery voltage it may read good but it could also be your cold cranking amps or cranking amps in general. Try getting a jump to see if that would work. If that doesn't work then it isn't the batter. check the whole starting system
( check to see if there is spark)? ause if you got spark you can then move on.

No Check engine light and weather up here is fine(80 degrees). When I turn the ignition on, the fuel pump does run.

I haven't checked spark yet, but the engine does crank over.

I thought I let you know that I fixed my problem. It happens to be the Igniter in the distributor. It cost me about $81 and 30-45 min. to install. My car purrs like a kitten and can't wait to get it back on the road.

P.S. Now I just have to fix the exhaust that was ripped off my car while trying to get it on the trailer!
