what killed my car?!
i was driving to work and i started to lose power shifting into 4th. it kinda sounded like a clogged muffler dying. i downshifted into 3rd and 2nd and then the two lights came on indicating that it died. it wont start back up anymore but it turns nicely. there seems to be no firing though. what should i check? here's what i thought of, battery, alternator, fuel injectors , or pump. i need some help with any more ideas to check tomorrow. thanks

Break the engine down to what it needs to run. It needs fuel, air, and spark. Check if the fuel pump is priming and check if fuel is getting to the injectors. Air is usually not a problem unless you sucked in a hairball or something. Check if your getting spark to your plugs. Maybe its as simple as the alternator and drained batter, you never know. If you want to check if your alternator is gone you can remove it and take it to a auto parts store like auto zone and they have machines to test them.
