Well the inevitable happened today on my wife's accord the c-clips that hold the diff pin failed today. The diff pin fell out and got lodged in between the diff and the tranny case and it exploded the case.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

 

...inevitable? why do you say that? never heard of this.. ever.

i believe you about the case blowing though. i've seen the results of a jury-rigged set up drop a bolt into the clutch housing and slingshot it into the gear box .

 

Ive heard of it a few timer happening Just didn't think it was going to happen to the baby mobile. The thing doesn't see any abuse at all

 

I would have to agree that this is not a common issue with the Accord. This is the first reported instance I have ever come across.

 

Really its happened to a couple of buddy's that have modded accord but her car is completely stock im going to take pics soon
