Thinking about buying an 07 Accord
Well, I've spotted an Accord sedan V6 6MT and I really want to get it. Its got about 84k on it, and it is Sapphire Blue Pearl. Which is a plus!
But before buying it, I was wondering if there are things that I should look out for on the Accord.
Thanks guys. I never owned an Accord so that is why I am here.

Re: Thinking about buying an 07 Accord
The only thing I can think of that's really a common issue on these cars is the issue with them popping out of 3rd gear. Our 06 had this problem. It would feel like you had it in 3rd gear, but it wouldn't really be all the way in gear even though it felt like it was and it would pop out. I don't think this is really an issue to worry about as it didn't really affect the reliability or didn't seem to, you just had to learn to make sure it was all the way in gear and sometimes if it felt like it was, the shifter would still go up further. We drove ours for a little over 60k miles and had no major issues with it and it never got worse.
Honda released a service bulletin for this later on and would fix it under warranty. We were right outside of the warranty period, but the local dealer agreed to fix it under their "goodwill" service since we had complained about it before the warranty was up and before they had that service bulletin. They fixed it for free, but I did pay for them to put a new clutch in while they were there. Not that there was anything wrong with the clutch, I just wanted to make sure I never really had to worry about it. The one they took out looked almost new though so I wish I hadn't had it changed.
Anyway, that's the only issue I can think of and it may or may not have already been fixed. If it hasn't it's probably something you will want to just live with as it's a fair bit out of warranty.
Other than that of course, go over the whole car, but really they are pretty good cars. Ours has 104k miles on it now and we still drive it everyday. It's been a good car. The only things I've done to it is it needed a battery early on, but Honda replaced that under warranty, it's had that 3rd gear replaced under warranty, and it's needed a set of brakes on it. It's really been a solid car. It honestly doesn't feel and look to be as nicely made as our 96 was at the time, but it has been reliable.
