Default Car can feel EVERY bump in the road...

I just bought a used 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe about 2 weeks ago.. The car is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, but the only real problem I've had with it is that I can feel every bump in the road pretty harshly... what can I do to reduce this? Will lowering the car + getting tighter shocks help me out? And the big question.. for a decent job how much am I looking at?

if you get aftermarket suspension, its meant for "stiffness"
double check to see if the car already has a aftermarket suspension...
if so buy a set of OEM honda shocks/springs and you should be good.

when i bought the car it was all stock.... i bought it from some older lady that was going through some type of "i need to look younger" crisis.. then she got pregnant =\... it's just really annoying when i turn a corner or see a small bump and my car really makes me feel it.. maybe it's just 'cause i'm the driver? i've gone over the same roads before as a passenger ( before i got a car) and i don't really remember bumps...

but.. how much and what would i need... to feel a bit of a "tighter" ride.. especially when rounding corners..lowering my car?

lowering the car well will give you a lower center of gravity and will feel better in the turns, but it will definitely be stiffer. you could also get strut bars that will help reduce body roll, resulting in a tighter ride

Are you complaining about the "stiffness" or not?

and what it have to do with ride quality?

if the car is in stock form(assumping it's in good condition), and you complaint it's riding harsh, may i ask what kind of car you used to drive?

back to the original question...

this problem could be anything from poor tires to worn out springs (though unlikely)...what kind and size of tires are you using?

you need to check the tire pressure, then check their wear, then from there check whether or not they are the recommended for the car...

as far as springs and shocks, you really think they could have gone so fast? whats the mileage on the car? didnt you say you got it from an old lady?
