Default A.C

So I've had my 92 Accord for years and the a.c has never worked . Really haven't tried to fix it until now . What are some common problems on why the a.c won't work ? Besides adding freon or the compressor .

number 1 cause is a leak ... you can try picking up some refrigerant with leak detector dye in it and add about a can and 3/4th's to the car with the ac on full blast ... and pick up a uv glasses leak detection kit with light.... look for the leak(s) ... when you're sure you found all the leaks you can have the refrigerant recovered and fix the leak(s) .. then have it evacuated and recharged

this assumes it's been converted to r134a ... if it hasn't then you're going to need it to be converted and just have em fix it while you're at it
