Automatic Seat Belt Stuck forward - won't move back
Any ideas on why the automatic seat belt on my 1990 accord won't move back when I close the door?
It was working recently until I replaced the door latch. I replaced the latch with an '02 accord latch (because it was all I could find) and the '02 latch didn't have electrical for the belt. The latch was awful to replace but works well. Now, the automatic seat belt remains forward. I tried to see if I could connect the old latch and close the door and "trick" the seatbelt into going back, but it didn't work. I really don't care if the automation works anymore, but would love to get it back in its locked position.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Crank it manually to closed position then remove the seatbelt motor fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
While the door center pillar trim is out, check the limit switches.

Ok am I crazy or did you just solve your problem right there, why not either find a 90 latch or I would suggest taking it to Honda as they have a lifetime guarentee on your seat belts.

Re: Automatic Seat Belt Stuck forward - won't move back (AccordEX1991)
So now suddenly im havin the same probs with mine... Im new with accords... How do you crank it manually? All that happens with mine is of course it is stuck forward, and when I open the door the light in the cluster flashes and that annoying beeping starts going off... checked fuses and they are all good.. the passenger side seems to work but its kinda slow.. think it may be the latch? any ideas?
