I've got this problem which hopefully some of you have experience with. My day time running lights work fine, my high beams work, but when I turn my actual headlights on for night time driving they no longer turn on. It used to basically be 3 settings of brightness: day time running < night time < high beam, but for some reason the middle setting no longer works.

Any insight on this matter and an estimate on repair cost? And would it be a possible DIY fix?

Ah sorry I forgot to add it's a 1990 Honda Accord EX.
I've already done a search on the forum but none of the other problems seem to be the same. Some similar but different enough. Unfortunately I don't know a whole lot about cars but I'm here to learn a little something.

 

sounds like you may have a problem with the headlight switch, try taking it to a garage or something to have it diagnosed.
