Default Headlight problem....HELP!!

Ill start off by telling you the car, and then the problem.

1997 Honda Prelude SH
5 Speed
160k km.

Anyways, whats happened is I bought this car a few months ago. All was fine and dandy, then I turn the lights on a few weeks later to drive at night and find the left headlight burnt out. Quick easy fix is just to give it a little hit and it lights right up (usually). After a few weeks, it just refused to go on so I went to the Honda dealership and asked for a new bulb. I bought it , they installed it , and it lit right up, only for the first time.

So, in short, the left headlight is confusing me (normal , not hi-beam's). I don't think its the bulb since I just replaced it yesterday, so I'm thinking it might be electrical? Another weird thing is the daytime lights work just fine, its only when you turn the light switch all the way on that the left headlight just goes out completely. Electrical problem? Wiring Problem??

Its not THAT big of a problem, as I just turn on my highbeam's so I don't get pulled over. However, that is annoying to other drivers and gets annoying after a while to yourself too (always seeing that blue light when it's much nicer without it).

Any help would be great, thanks....

Also, I realize it might be a ground problem, but I have NO idea what to look for.

Umm. I dont think there's any damage to the headlight harness (if I'm even looking at the right thing). Ive noticed that its a little more wiggly compared to the working headlight.

What's more wiggly? The headlight harness? The headlight assembly?? The headlight bulb???

First, the DRLs have nothing to do with the low beams, they are your high beams, though resistance.

Second, a question already asked...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by B18C_EJ8 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">What's more wiggly? The headlight harness? The headlight assembly?? The headlight bulb???</TD></TR></TABLE>

Another question, what/where were you hitting to get it to come back on, [for that first little while]?

It is clear that the problem, whatever it is, probably electrical, is located close to where you are hitting.

I doubt it has anything to do with the ground, the low and high beams share a common ground, the high beam would also be effected.
It is also a pretty good bet it's not the bulb, as you have a new one, however some flunky no0b told to change your bulb may have got his greasy thumb print on the bulb, can be good for one use.

That leaves the pos.(+), and the easiest thing you can check is the fuse, fuse 22 - 10A. [hot when low beams on] in under dash fuse box, replace it even if it looks good.

Now unless you have or can borrow a multimeter, or at leas a test light, your diagnostic options are limited to eyeballing and wiggling stuff, bulb in bulb socket, wires going to bulb socket, wires between bulb socket and engine harness, the low beams will have to be on as it will be your test light. 94
