AAA Engine code
Could be anything
They came with an F22A1, A4 or A6 depending on what trim the CB7 is.
Easiest way to know for sure is to look at the engine code stamp on the block.
This is my dirty old block, F22B2.

The stamp is located on the engine block just below the upper radiator hose.

Those do not look like factory markings, factory markings are usually larger than typical punch sets. That looks like a machine shop may have done that. Lots of the F series blocks share the same bore, its only the crank throw that changes between the F18-F20-F22. So if a machine shop just needed to have an inventory of 85mm bore blocks they may have, foolishly, ground off the original numbers and put their 'AAA' code on it.
Or imported F18 or F20 engine variants for cheap(85mm bore) and sold the blocks as replacements for F22. But for Smog reasons an F18 or F20 labeled block may raise questions during smog testing so they just ground it off.
Or, more nefarious, the engine and block codes were ground off because the block is from a stolen car.
I've seen it happen more often with transmission cases, which is annoying, as there are slight differences that you will need to watch out for.
What I can tell you is that the block is not from an F22B1/2 nor F23 series as this block has the earlier bellhousing timing hole found on the CB(89-93) cars. It is most likely an 89'-93' 85mm bore block.
