Default 98 UCA bushings = FAIL

I'm on my third pair of upper control arm bushings. After a week, I can hear them creaking, and [im sure] will soon have play in the whole arm. I'm done with these OEM rubber bushings failing. I don't know why the driver-side arm keeps failing. AFTER A WEEK!!

I'm trying to find some aftermarket, upgraded bushings. I checked ES & Prothane for bushings that fit the 6th gen, but haven't found any. I found HARDRACE 'hard rubber' (harder than oem) bushings, but can't purchase them off the site for some reason. Also, I can't contact them as they are in China or something..

Who's got some good news for me? Where can I find some new bushings that won't continue to fail? MOOG & Ingalls offer some UCA bushings, but I assume they're going to fail just as OE rubber ones do.

Never even heard of it. Would it be applied inside the collar of the bushing? It may stop the sqeaking, but that doesn't take care of the premature wear of my rubber bushings.

Sil-Glides are high temp grease that you use on caliper slide pins. But it seems like there's no way to grease them as I recall seeing those upper control arm bushings. Mines sqeak too when I lower the car down from the jack, but not when I'm driving or going over bumps. So I'm not sure on what to do now.

Did you buy those yourself or had a shop ordered them?

I bought the arms myself, and do my own installs. OEM replacement, but they really shouldn't be failing as quickly as they do. I'm careful not to torque before loading the bushings. I may step up to Polys. If someone has another idea for recommended bushings, like hardened (high durometer) rubber, let me know.

Until then, keep vtecing. :D
