96 accord lx stalls at stops/ no throttle response
hey guys. im going to try and be as informative as i can. i have a 96 LX with the f22b2 in it. lately i have a issue where as im driving and coming to a stop the engine bogs down and dies or sometimes it will catch itself. it used to be on occasion but now its constant. also while driving itll randomly stop respondi8ng to throttle input i floor it and nothing no backfire no nada, and it will most of the time come back alive after a couple seconds but the past 2 days it's done it all the way to a complete stop. everytime the car has shut off it will restart though now it just cranks and cranks and eventually it starts. (today i thought i was screwed because it took so long)
One thing that puzzles me is that it will only act up when moving. sitting in the driveway it starts and rev without issue. no codes on the ecu. it had a egr lift code but i cleaned the egr and it hasnt come back i even blocked it off to make sure the egr isnt the issue. ive swapped the MAP sensor, unplugged each o2 individually to see if they were the issue. opened ecu didnt see anything burned( i know it doesnt rule it out im just stating what ive done) . with my torque app when it acts up both o2 sensors read full lean so im thinking its fuel rated? however i could be wrong.
i feel like im forgetting something but not sure. anyway does anyone have a clue? i really need this car on the road again

See i thought about that but typically doesnt it only fail before running? And why is it only doing it when driving? Ill go ahead and pull it see what it looks like. Still up under the dash on the cd chasis right?

When cold the engine will run fine as the FITV will bypass air to allow a higher idle, when hot the FITV closes. Without finite control from the IAC stepper motor there is no way to control idle under load.

ok. but when i give it throttle aka open the tb shouldnt it start running right again? i can hold it WOT and nothing changes when its having a episode. however i still plan to take it off and clean it.

I'm going to change my opinion to agree with Mike. Try pulling the iacv and seeing if the external metal mesh filter is clogged.
