1993 accord engine swap distributor question
I am helping a friend do an engine swap on a 1993 accord. (timing belt disaster)
The 1st engine turned out to have an abrupt stop, causing Vib dampener damage and potential valve issues, so we went back for another - the bone yard then sold us a 1991 low mileage engine. Well it came without a distributor.
The 1993 distributor fits, but for some reason it only ran for 1 min. and now no spark. I am thinking of buying new distributor, as i can get an aftermarket one online for $50. however looking through the postings, I am finding that the 1991 and 1993 distributors are different. As the wiring harness is 1993, I an thinking I should be ok to go with the 1993 dist. - any reason I should not go this route?

Re: 1993 accord engine swap distributor question
you need either a 92 or 93 accord distributor you can't use the 90-91 since they are internal coil, just use your original distributor
