local guy has a set of 4 wide type r wheels like Flexin's he wants to trade me straight up for my polished slipstreams complete with his 4x114.3 converion for my 4x100.. the thing is he powdercoated the wheels bronze, then stripped them and had them powdercoated red now (eww) but he told me he'd strip them this weekend have them powder coated white and buy new oem centercaps for them all before we trade...

what do you guys think? i love my polished slip but this sounds like a great deal.. of course i'm only gonna do it if he has them done in white again have them lookin oem.. should i do it? i want some white ITR wheels bad and i like the 4 wides, i just love my polished too but it seems dumb to hold onto rota's for a deal on these..

I think it'd look great and thats a decent deal. No real advantage or loss with it and I think you're definitely getting the better deal.

By the way, what the heck does 4 wide mean? I assume you're talking about 4x114, but 4 wide doesn't make any sense in reference to that

lol i dunno if i picked that up from somewhere back in the day or just started saying it, but yeah when i was saying 4wide i was refering to the 96 4x114.3 ITR wheels..

i'm gonna go ahead and do the trade as soon as he gets them back out of powder coating.. can't beat a trade for rota's for 96 ITR's..

few random pics people took during the Columbia, SC meet saturday..

my friend was having withdraws after selling his S2k so let him pilot the teg for a min lol

thanks guys

....
flexin, i like the sir lip with unpainted sideskirts, since mine where painted i went with the comptech (ITR).. I really wanted some optional sides, but with the 94-97 rear bumper there isn't a rear part to match optional sides, i like the lip with these stock sides now lol ..
i think i'm done with my exterior for now after i bite your white 96 R wheels lol..

i hate to sound like a ricer, and i HATE black wheels with a polished lip but..

what do you guys think about black wheels with a teal lip? something like the group n's.. or volk C28 knockoff's (heliums) sound horrible? just and idea, i'm pretty set on some white wheels right now

I personally don't think that would look even remotely good. I'm not a fan of much of any wheels with a defferent colored lip though.

I'm not sure, maybe photoshop it, I think it could work out.

Not bg-33p, but:

i was thinkin' about paintin' my wheels black w/ purple anodized lip...but i'm just gonna stick with the way they are....but i think using teal would be too much teal...

i actually wondered how that would look...photochop anyone?

oh btw, i got a wicked deal too, i managed to grab a set of the OEM optional sideskirts for $100 + my stock sides!!! guy diden't know what he had. however tho i don't think i'm going to use them, i don't want to deal with paint and everything again, plus it won't look too low because i have to raise the car so i don't kill the 3'' downpipe. so i guess they are up for sale.
