Teal Integras
I'm about to put on my 98 front and rear bumpers and order some rims, i'm pretty set on some FN01R-C in 16"s but i can't decide on the color, the hyper black or bronze.. what do u guys think ? i think the bronze looks good but sometimes it reminds me of gold and green which i hate together... hyper black looks kinda neat too though.. i dunno need opinions..

I love the way the pink sticker I have on the back of my car compliments the green. but it would really depend on the wheels and the way they were painted pink.

Just finished painting my cage and interior about 5 min ago. 3:33 right now! Don't think I have seen a built up teal car. Doesn't look I am going to finish the outside by the end of july, but its getting there.
This was also my first time painting... those critics out there don't be to harsh! I will get some daylight pics tomorrow.
EDIT: And incase anyone is going to ask. I didn't paint the sides/walls of the inside, nor did I paint the front floor, is because I am keeping carpet, and I am putting the rear panels back in, as well as a headliner. all of those together might weigh 7-8 lbs. For that I'd rather keep em.

^damn! that looks nice man! i was actually thinking of doing the same thing, masking off and painting all inside where the rear seats useto be back. i was also thinking of what color to paint the autopower roll bar i'm getting soon and i was wondering how it would look color matched. either that or i'm thinking blue like the cusco cage. post some pics when your all done, good work man!
Hoping to have most of the car blocked by the end of the weekend so I can dissassemble and being final prep for paint. **HOPING** to be painting next weekend. But I have a feeling it will be the following (August 11-13).
But yea I think the color matching will look good. I didn't wanna do the typical black, grey, or w/e, not as many people color match cause its alot more work. Spraying a gun around the crap I had to is a pain, EVEN WITH THE MINI GUN! But in the end you'll be happy, the blue on teal might be kinda funny tho... I dunno who knows, they are talking bout pink & teal up above, lol!
Anyways, I'll post some more pics later.

Car is primered but I am still block sanding right now. At the rate I am going now I should be laying some pretty Paradise Blue done on Monday! I am stoked!
I know I probably should create a thread, but I get busy and forget to update a lot.
Give me a sec and I will load up a few more pics for yall. (plus it'll give the thread a bump!)

So far the the whole right side of the car has been blocked with 100. The left rear quarterpanel was blocked tonight and filled where needed. Tomorrow I should have the rest of the left side done. Thursday we do the hatch and hood. Then primer again. Block the whole car with 220 and then 400 on Fri/Sat. Then begin disassbly, prepping, taping, and prepping garage sat and sunday. And *HOPEFULLY* paint on Monday!
Here we go:
Some more cage pics. I forgot earlier.

Primered:

Block Sanding
Car having no waves!

Lastest Bay Shot (been like this for months actually though)

Thanks. It has a little orange peel after is cured for about 48 hours. But hopefully I will get up the energy to wetsand it out of atleast the most noticeable spots. But its so CRAMPED and so many curves! PITA!
Oh yea and if anyone knows where I can find a RS/ITR headliner in grey I'd greatly appreciate it. I am also still looking for 98+ bumpers and headlights. ITR would be nice too, but I'll get one from JDM **** if not.

nice work. I think we blocked mine with 100 then 220 or something like that, then primer and guide coat, then wetsanded/blocked the primer with 400 and then 600.
Are you or your painter planning on wetsanding the final clearcoat? Who is going to be buffing it afterwards? May want to get Joe to give it a good shine with the rotary polisher.

I thought about going to 600, but I really dont think its necessary. I know alot of people do. But as if its not obvious this is primarily a straightline car and I am not expecting everything to be perfect. I have also read of *some* people have adhesion problems the high grit they go before laying down the base. So I SERIOUSLY doubt you will be able to tell that much of a difference between 400 and 600. Plus I am running out of time. The paint and body work MUST be completed b4 fall semester starts up.
Yes the clear will be wetsanded and buffed. I will be doing it myself. Joe is a great detailer, but I am also one myself. I may not be as good as him with a rotary but I can hold my own. Plus I'd rather keep the $400 he charges for wetsand/buff.
Oh and my painter is me. Basically if there was anything I didn't know how to do before I began this project I researched it and learned. Only thing I paid people to do was remove and install my glass, press in my wheel bearings and studs and I think htats it. Oh and the usual stuff like and alignment.
