Its not the right rear. The sound has gotten louder and I can tell that in fact it is the right front. I wasnt sure before because it was faint but now that its a high pitched screech its not very hard to tell. I'm probably going to need a new caliper and ****. This is probably why the car has been pulling to the right as well. I just thought that my alignment was off.

I went out there to fix the hand brake and come right back in... 3 hours later I'm done taking out the carpet and the passenger seat among other things... Its odd only having one seat in a 4 door. I'd say I've taken out at least 100lbs though since I started gutting it. Not long until I've got a sub 2000lb sedan.

Nice!

You might have warped your disc, You can take it to your mechanic to get it remachined, its not that expensive. Be careful that the screeching isnt from 'lack of brake pad' on the disc, or it could be just caliper on disc which can never be good. Im pretty sure mine needs an alignment coz when im doing 60+mph and i go lightly on the brakes the steering wheel shudders. Atm tho its not a real high priority seeing that my provisional licence means im only sposed to be doing 55MPH ~_~'

I know what a warped disc feels like. Both front discs on my old '93 galant were badly warped. Its not a warped disc.

The pad is certainly gone. I'm thinking I'll need a new caliper because even when I'm not on the brakes now it just screetchs. Its stuck closed basicly.

Well if you're talking about the stock system its made to be quite and provide good low end power. Aftermarket intakes are usualy designed to provide and upper rpm power boost without concern for noise.

I certainly wont be doing anymore highspeed runs until its fixed.

Here is my updated cardomain page.

Hmm.. I dont see how this can Increase low end power at all. Maybe im not talking about the right thing... Theres a plastic tube coming out of the intake manifold, and at the end of that intake tube, sitting underneath the tube is a black box which is hollow.... Stupid thing. I took all the intake tube and the mysterious 'black box' out to see if it made any difference to performance or sound but nothing *rolls eyes*

@justin: I reckon your car would hit 60mph fast then 9.6 seconds now it has the gutted interior

Its a what now? What does it do? And it has a filter, much closer to the intake. This is just a hollow plastic box.

OK I am wondering. I love the tail light swap. I thought that the heyhole though on the 88-89 models were on the lower right side just under the lights?????
Now when you did the swap were you able to use the same wiring and reroute and plug in for the REVERSE lights?
I'm gonna have to find this now for mine. I like my tails but I've always enjoyed the compactness of the older sections
***
IF it is this simple..Does anyone wanna swap with me?? Here's my painted tails.

Those tinted tails are very sexy.

The keyhole lined right up, the reverse lights wire was easily re roughted to the outside of the bootlid, and the connections between the lights and the wires had to be changed, but it was realy easy, took about an hour. If you have questions feel free to ask

How exactly do you paint your tails like that? Is it like... 85% clear and 15% red? and do you just paint it on the outside of it?...

Anthony if I still had my stockies I'd trade in a heart beat. I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow, if they have some in good condition I'll ship to you and then you can use the box to ship back to me, hows that sound?

Edit: I also need a black center peice with most if not all the tabs not borken...if you have one please let me know!

9.6 is the stock figure brand new from the factory. I figure even though its lost a bit over 100lbs now the engine isnt exactly new so it should roughly even out.

I took the car to the shop. I'm hoping they can fix the problem fast and not charge an **** rape because insurance has already stretched that end to the max...

Edit: new pads and fixed the upper ball joints for about $150.
