Official EF SEDAN SQUAD Thread
/\ Right. The only issue I could see is running the OEM crossmember and having all sorts of mad wheel hop. Even then it's doubtful welds would break. I have seen a K series tear an EA apart (84-87), but that's a whole different story.
That's not true. There are many people running boosted B series, K series, etc. and not having a problem. The EF is a popular road race and auto cross platform and that would not be the case if the chassis and welds could not handle the additional stress.

Cheers, and thanks Mish.
Im NOT going to be using this one as my daily, the a6 block has 314,xxx miles on it, and a bad input shaft or throwout bearing (i'll probably replace bloth). I will be garaging this thing, taking out the motor, rebuilding the block/trans, and stripping the interior completely.
I have a 97 jetta and an 88 LX sedan now so me and my girl will use these as DD's.
Ivo: it seems that the JDM rear bumper is exact same thing as Canadian 91 LX, EX and DX-SE bumper. We had the same shape molding and insert pin stripe, of cource it wasnt metal tho. Might be the same thing for a 90. We defenatley did not had those gay *** US bumpers with completley smooth trim/molding. Only on a hatch, but thats not a real car
Steve: i dig the wheels

Steve: i dig the wheels
I agree. hatches arent real cars.............and they're half the size...............jk!! but its not true the wheel base is like dead on to a sedan, so parts are interchangable.
Let me know more about the canadian parts bro, looking for the ef2 rear bumper bracket, i found chrome trim
and its still available at the dealership. going to place an order and see if this **** fits.
I had a couple options for disposal of the parts shell. I could pay to have the shell towed to the recycling place and hopefully make my money back for the tow (they pay $5 for every 100lbs) or I could buy a saw and take the pieces to the recycling place myself. Obviously, I chose the saw method because I will always have the saw, but I'll never see the money from that tow again. Plus destroying things is fun.

Mad JDM rare convertible option...

We figured pulling the suspension would be much easier if the car was upside down...

only picture i was able to source of my car after paint..........ran out of paint right at the hood and bumper
, made the best out of it though hahahaha.

DX EF2? hahaha i've been driving around and it doesnt look that bad. installed the rear bumper and repaired the front bumper where it was backed into. Also since i had another ef2 bumper i just removed the chrome and used the best looking strip.

Have any of you guys seen this element?

With the rising popularity of drifting, I've seen some pretty interesting conversions. Rear wheel drive Imprezas and EVOs are no longer uncommon, but rwd converted Hondas? Not just any Honda, but the Element? Good old SEMA brings out the best in the auto industry, and this Element is no exception. Powered by a 500 horsepower, longitudinally mounted, twin turbo v6, this car shows what Honda engineers are capable of with enough time and money on their hands. Dubbed the Element D (d is for drift, duh!),
I think it would be hilarious watching a Honda Element blast through sweepers sideways! So hate on, everyone. Even though it may not be the best platform to be a true competitor in the drift world, Honda has gone all out. I think its sick! But in that sort of way that makes a fast station wagon cool. Its too random to not be tight.
