I like the rusted hood... it would look cool if it looked more spotty or natural too

 

rusted hood looks good my man, not everyone is going to like the stuff you do, just as well as how others wont like what i do to my car interesting look though. plus if you dont like it in the end there is plenty more at the junkyard haha

 

all i seem to see is myefsedan talkin hella smack about what he doesnt like to see on our cars, his opinion really doesnt matter, and it should stay like that. thats why i dont post anything anymore on honda-tech.

 

This discussion comes up all the time, however you do bring up a valid point; it's never nice to hear "put-downs" about something you invest a lot of time and money into. At the same time, we can't expect to post pictures in an open forum and not expect criticism in some way on some level or another. It just happens. I've heard people complain about this forum due to extent of some of the bashing, hence the Hater-tech plug. Zilvia.net is even worse, haha. Not trying to side with anyone, just my input.

I dont like the rusted hood myself, to me it seems like you got in an accident and needed a new hood so you went to a farm and took it off a 20 year old rusted car and then couldnt afford to primer it. But thats just how i think of it when i see a car like that. Nice to see dana back. jonknee. no i didnt. i was trying to get my car done for track..so i took it off to get my car running with my rebuilt tranny as well as my stage 4 clutch for my turbo. then i didnt make it in time. so i drove around to for awhile to get 400 miles for my break in on the clutch. now that my car is siting. imma get the turbo finished (only a few more things) then im get it tuned and then get my jdm front end back on then to paint.

Kinda bummed out that i wont be able to go to the meet cause i'll be in Mexico. Gonna try and drive from LB to Zacatecas in less then a day and half Hopefully nothing goes wrong this time.

All the talk about the meet in June makes me want to go - 1 month to that meet... If I can get mine back together and a temp registration from DMV maybe I can go to. Who is going from 408 area?

 

I'd like to become an official member of the squad before making it out to the meet. Just a couple more days until my schedule clears up and I'll have time to snap some pics.

hello all, just bought my first sedan since my 95 db7 years back. i recently rolled my 90 si hatch and aquired an 89 civic 4dr. i stumbled uppon this thread and to my surprise my car was in here on the first page! my buddy, whom i bought the car from, started the build of v.2.0 and since i can't leave anything alone have decided to start v.3.o! i'm super stoked!the first pic is how my buddy bought it.

after he played with it a year or so..

this is how it is currently sitting as i shave and tuck the bay and wait to re-spray it fresh white.
