sadly i'm a little lazy and only work on my car when something breaks or when i'm adding on new parts. i'm all about "set it and forget about it"... lmao

In fact, I put 3500 cash down and a 2500 trade and I owe LESS than its resale value, So I drove it off the lot and didnt lose money lol.
you only got $2500 as trade in on your 08?
damn i didn't know the new tacomas could tow 6500lbs.... that's penty for my needs.... also 6spd gear box FTW!

Your not the only one in that boat! I dont mean to be that way, but thats just how it always ends up working out..

Also for what its worth, I used my bosses Tundra leveled on 20s with oversized tires to tow our race CRX a few times, roughly 7 hrs each way. Tundra didnt even flinch at pulling a 22ft enclosed trailer with CRX, tool box, and all our gear. The short gearing they have really helps around town too.

transmissions on the tundra are prone to early failure. i worked parts counter at a toyota dealership and i cant even begin to guess how many trans we replaced under warranty. worst case i saw was a on a 2013 with 350 miles. needless to say, the guy returned the truck for a full refund. the tundra is also the highest rated towing half ton on the road and that could have always been an issue. you would be surprised what ive seen people towing with a tundra.

Not sure about Tundras but Fords had simillar issues. Not to the same extent though. I would just make sure the trans fluid is clean and changed at proper intervals. Also make sure there is a large enough transmission cooler. I dont think Charlie will have these issues if hes only towing a few thousand pounds.

My guess would be some people see the Tundra/Nasa commercial and attempt to do the same thing.

Car looks good Chris. Who makes the hood and how is fitment?

I received my Voodoo arms last week. Ill take some pictures and post up tommorow. Compiling a list for the front end currently. Any reccomendations for lower ball joints and wheel bearings? Thinking of doing mass purchase from rock auto and the front LCA bushings will be hard race. Rest of the bushings will probably MOOG.
