its between 200 and 250 for the short ratio rack and pinion from quaife and its about 10-20 for the energy bushings. kinda pricey but it makes your car feel like it has go kart turning.

Your car is super clean, and you never really get how clean it is till you see it in person. I saw it at the crx meet and my gf and I love your car. ha

Btw got my car going

Went to Full-Race yesterday and got, what I thought was, EF/ED Pro Street Radiator, but instead recieved the 88-91 Civic/CRX Dual Core instead. I opened the labled box, 88-91 EF Radiator, looked inside saw it and thought nothing more about it. I live about 2 hours away and checked the rad out when I got home to realize that it wasn't the Pro Street version :/

I use the Full-Race traction bar but now I am worried that it won't work with the rad that I got. Anyone use this combo before?

I think the issue is the height, not the mounting posts.

The one in the bottom photo has a shorter height and is designed to work with their own traction bar and still fit under the hood without having to tilt the radiator.

I wouldn't assume the one in the upper photo fits the same.

i had assumed both the pwr rad's were shorter. I guess not though since it says nothing about it on the site.

Looks like there is only one way to find out (other than calling them )

make that full width one work...... MUCH better for tracking the car.

about 2/3rds of our track buddies that have used 1/2 rads have over heating issues, because of air rolling around the radiator instead of through it.

Wouldn't a decent fan give sufficient / enough airflow?

No. A shroud or a big *** fan is necessary. My car overheats in the summer with AC on because my fan doesn't cover enough surface area of the radiator.

I had to hardwire my auxiliary fan to stay on to keep from overheating when using a/c.

They both should turn on automatically when u turn on the ac. My fans are just too small. That's why I got an hf bumper support. Gonna put a fan on the front of the radiator as well. I would love to find a good deal on one of those FAL dual fan/shroud setups!

Is there a fitting I can squirt grease in through?
I have a similar problem on my beater too.. not really a problem. I tore the boots off of the Ball Joints and Steering joint and slipped on the ES boots... it was quick, easy and cheaper than replacing the entire arm. I probably would have went oem, but I had the extra boots laying around, so why not.. probably your best bet or a no name aftermarket.

I have been looking into the Quaife QSR for a while.. they say i need a manual rack, but not just any manual rack.. a si model comes with a manual assisted rack or something.. so ive been lurking for a 88 hf rack. If I were you, I would take the easy route on the swap and just loop it.... maybe If shipping isnt wild I can buy that rack off you! (as long as it works with the QSR)

P.s.- That floating sedan made me gasp.. until I read it was not yours. whew! I think you should start parking it on a wooden slab so it'll float, just in case!

Pro Street

I purchased the Pro Street model with the traction bar, all from full race. the half rad lines up perfect with enough clearance for the hood. I also have a koyo full that fits fine as well. I guess it depends on the plan for the car.. Ive seen many half rad's not hold up to the vigor's of road racing but not sure on brand or set-up in each situation. I want to go with a full core once I hit a track, only issue I could see is clearance with a larger header. Keeping the bay clean is another issue.. so maybe even one of them new fancy schmancy tucked rads with the AN lines.. that's one of those, once the car is done things tho. good luck with whichever you end up with. Both should fit fine though if used with the full race traction bar and no major front end collisions.

I purchased my fan from Full-Race as well.. combined package of Traction bar, pro street rad and fan, just seemed easier to know it would all work together. Not sure the specs on the fan tho.. I see all different types now (pusher, puller) Can someone elaborate on the difference of each type? or is it just mounting locations?

Hope the full race fan suffices, 100$ fan!

Right, my fan switch is apparently bad so it'll stay hardwired with a manual switch until I put the new motor in.

Shipping that would probably be in the $50 range, but I'm leaning towards using it. The boots and all are bad on my power rack and I keep reading the manual rack/subframe are smaller and lighter. Since I'll be doing the motor at the same time I figured I could clean up the stock manual rack, replace what I can for cheap and put it in there. I can always upgrade to the Quaife later on if I want to.

I guess I need a sedan-sized ark I can park in when flash flooding is a possibility.

Oh definitely, I didn't realize your rack was hurting. Always easier when you can freshen it up and then replace it all at once. Sounds like a good plan. That is half the reason I hoard spare parts! It would be deadly if I lived near a pick-n-pull!

Hahaa, Noahs Ark in 2012 will be filled with EF's, who needs farm animals anyway! I wish I could park my car inside a Cedar closet... like old woman keep there fur coats! Or like a Cigar Humidor!! I mean, that's only if I cant have a Bat Cave!

It certainly is convenient to have nearly an entire EF in the attic.
