Someone needs to school me on EF hatch doors (i.e. weight differences, visor compatability, swapability between years). I have the '90 model where the seat belt bolts to the door, but I'm just going to run harnesses. I already trashed the seatbelts, I was wondering if there would be a considerable weight savings (other than the seatbelts themselves) by switching to another set.

You wont save much weight swapping doors if your already gonna remove the seatbelts. The seatbelt regulator in thedoor is what weighs the most. I wouldn't bother swapping out the doors if yur gonna remove the entire seatbelt assembly. The 88-89 had the pillar mounted seatbelts vs. the 90-91 door mounted seatbelts. I know if you contact jdmland.com he knows what visors to sell you to compensate for the thicker door pillar. I want to say that he sells you the non-power folding visor as opposed to the power folding ones but I can't be certain.

Thanks. That helps a lot. CRXBart said he saved 20lbs by cutting out the side impact beams or whatever on his CRX, so I wan't sure if the same was true for the hatch.
