hey, i dunno if any of you are interested, but i got so sick of seeing password sell hood dampers for 120 a set that i decided to come up with a 40 dollar solution. going to toyota today to cross reference hood dampers for the camrys, mostly the mounting brackets and whatever. ill post my results in a thread if i can find a part number to a set that works as good or better than the pwjdm ones.

yes youre right. its Mealer. and we settled it "out of court" on the night of July 6th and i left california on july 7th.

moving back to work with boeing in el segundo. so stoked.

edit: i got my money back, took the SIR front off the car, sold it to Chase, and gave the rolling chassis to a buddy who apparently is doing a turbo single cam in it

the closest i have come is an old blazer rear glass prop. none of the hood props work so i started checking SUV rear glass props. now i just need the little ball/screw end things and an L bracket for the hood and im good. i wanna make sure everything is perfect before i post a thread with part numbers and prices to take a nice chunk out of asswordjdm's sales. well, a fraction of a chunk realistically.

would any of you know of anywhere to look for a play-by-play on how to take my dash out. i have taken ef dashes out before. I just want to go by something (something like a honda manual) so if there is anything missing i can get it replaced. i have a haynes manual but there is nothing in there of the sort. just something i can look at and possibly download and print out. i want something that will tell me IN DETAIL. i have to trace all the chassis harness grounds because my car has a serious grounding issue. so i want to take the dash out and check everything. im looking detailed info about everything that is under the dash and on the dash. that was if there is anything missing, i can get it replaced. this hatch was owned by someone else so i want to make sure that everything is up to oem standards for the most part because the previous owner was a idiot.

Thanks ahead of time...
