What floor jack are you guys using? Tired of borrowing jacks and stands from my friends so it's time to make a buy.

Reading a lot of bad reviews about Torin, but they are so god damn cheap.

Not looking for a jack that will hold up my front end over night. Just something with a low profile (3.5 or lower) that doesn't take 50 pumps to raise the car, throw some jack stands under and pull the jack.
I'd like to spend less than $150.

It is really rare to say this but my low profile harbor freight hydraulic jack has been great! Over a year old with no issues.

just filter? don't see how you could do one without the other, so every 3-4k/3 months since your turbo

Looks like harbor freight it is.
My supervisor was telling me that is what his brother uses. There is a harbor freight warehouse right near them in Pdale. Might have him check out the prices on site before I purchase anything on-line.

I'm on my second set of lug nuts to have the threading strip... what am I doing wrong? Over-tightening them?
Maybe it's because they have both been aluminum? First set was muteki that I bought from the dealer that sold my wheels. Second was Gorilla from Americas Tires when the mutekis stripped.

I bought some Vision Motorsports lug nuts to replace the Gorilla lug nuts... any advice?

had the same problem a month after i bought the Blox extended lug nuts... i'm lucky i have ARP studs so all i did was got a small punch and hit the excess metal that the lug nut left on the stud and then went over the stud with my rethreading set to clean up the threads.... then went back to my muteki lug nuts thats i've have for 6 years

i torque my lug nuts every time and i guess the new the material that they are using on the lug nuts aren't holding up like they should

Most aluminum lug nuts suck. Especially those lightweight Buddy Club and Volk ones. I would definitely go with something more substantial if you take your wheels off and on a lot. And substantial doesn't have to mean expensive. I've used some generic open ended stainless steel lug nuts for 4+ years and dozens and dozens of wheel changings and have never stripped one. The <$1 a piece kind.

I didn't think 50 bucks for 16 lug nuts was cheap when you can find godspeeds for like 14.99 with locks.

That an digital torque wrench? How much did that run you?

Ordered my harbor freight jack last night.
Jack stands and a torque wrench this week.

I've been using Rays lugs for 5+ years with no problems. Not sure what issues you've had, but I've never had them.

doesn't have to be digital, that was just an example picture. that one is from snap-on i think retail is around 300, i have a craftsman one that was about $125. torque wrench is a tool you don't want to go cheap on since the lower priced ones may not be accurate. i'm looking to upgrade to a snap on sometime

if you're not running spacers, have hubcentric wheels/rings and are torquing the lugnuts to spec then you should be good to go with almost any brand lugnut

all these peeps talking about buying rear wiper plugs... you know there's a rubber plug on your firewall right near the battery that fits it perfect... can't beat free.

I was using that for a while but water kept getting in my hatch and I was always worried about getting my sub wet. Went with a product made to seal it so no worries now.

Got my lug nuts in today. Got them on along with the wiper delete when I got off work.

I used the 3m headlight kit, use with a drill. And my hazed up headlights came out like new. I recommendthe kit to anyone.

One step at a time my friend. Still piecing tools together to just work on the damn car.

That's just to clear up the haze/yellowing on the outside, correct?

Mine must have a leak somewhere because it fills up with condensation from the inside. First things first, I have two stripped screws for the front bumper due to the previous owner. Got to get those out before I can do anything to my headlights.
