The OFFICIAL DC Squad --Version 3--
The ABS sensor? Aren't they by the CV shaft in the front, and on the rear they're on the trailing arm?
Two pictures I just found from summer.

o and im getting a full catback exhaust today for freeeee
but only using axle back. and something you dont see ever as well. kinda going on a limb for this but doubt ill be disappointed. pics when i grab it in a bit. yea blades with tires should easily sell for 300 to 350 around here, even with crap tires. and jerry said it. i need to be lower, and im not trying to spend more to go lower anyways haha.
damn, how low are you looking to go??
Not sure how the roads are there, but being that low here would suck.
Any updated photos of that bish?
-Lookin good Fernando. How about some SIR (G?) bumper lense?

looking to be close to tucking hopefully, i say a 1/3 inch to half lower in front, and a half to 3/4 an inch lower in back. if i can get it that low
roads are shitty for the most part, interstate roads are renown for being some of the worst. interstate 64...
but i get around the areas i need to just fine because ive had plenty of time to pretty much study every route.
no pics yet, when i lower it more, put the exhaust on that im gettin, im sure ill have updates

When your car is pretty close to the ground, you tend to be a safer driver. You know every pothole/dip/speed bump where ever you go. And a 5 minute trip might take 30 minutes lmao.

your car looks great the way it is man! i can understand wanting to be low, but dont ruin the vehicle to do it man. Im not talking ride quality either, thats subjective. And if you dont mind, then fawk every one else. but if you are already on your bump stops, then cutting them will lower your car, but you are riding on bump stops, they are there for a reason, and thats not it.
like i said bro dont get me wrong, i like low. but for the sake of the car, dont do it.
to each there own tho, it just seems like a very undriveable, but good looking choice.
and for me, id rather enhance the usability than the look. No offense man.

yea i consider myself one of the most aware/safe drivers on the roads. o and i dont rice like AT ALL in the first place. Im very respectful on the roads. I built my car to turn heads when you see it, not hear it lol your car looks great the way it is man! i can understand wanting to be low, but dont ruin the vehicle to do it man. when it comes to being slammed the line you cross of caring about the integrity and ride quality of the car is usually passed a few inches higher then what im at. not saying the ride wont be more bouncy or crappy if i do choose to go lower, because it will. But a longgg time ago i decided i was content with that. To be quite frank, for the stance my ride quality surprises everyone. It is not bad by any means. Yea it might sound bad, but its just how its gonna be. You get over the rubbing noises, the scrapes, the clunks very quickly... and i know when something isnt right. I dont sacrafice the actual car for what im doing here. Since owning it i have had all of ZERO issues with anything. And that has continued as Ive progressively gotten lower...
My opinion on being dumped is. $hits gone scrape. $hits gone brake. I could care less what the bottom of my car looks like or the parts under it. It's part of being low. If cared I'd be moderator lowered. Bump stops are a waste of space. Only thing they are there for is to save you from blowing your shocks. I have none. My car is all cut up. It hasn't effected the safety of my car, like Justin said we are the best drivers on the road.
i love them also, and have had air cooled VW,s that i couldnt get a pack of smokes on its back to slide under..high centered and sparked every where, also a few EF,s that were re-tarted low. but if you cant drive anywhere without doing 5 mph thru intersections it just isnt very usable. they look great yes. but then again guys, im 37. and things have changed. my car is no 4x4 by any means. It goes to the track on weekends and sometime serves as a baby mobile also.
by the way EJ1-Fernando pics look great your car is very nice.

picked up wrx oem catback exhaust from a friend for free. plan on just using the axleback.
its rough around the edges as you can see but im gonna clean it all up, and if i feel up to it fully polish it. if its not going well then prob flat black with polished tips. either way its a cleaner/stocker look that i want, and it should sound nicer. compared to what i have now which is some shop muffler that has an exhaust leak and random pipe as the tip lol.

yea i was really looking for an sti oem exhaust cause it has a slightly larger tip, and its a single instead of dual, but i kind of like the dual look as well and you dont see it as much. since it was for free and itll take some time to polish im still looking around if something else comes to me
Hmm.. very curious to see how that exhaust will look Justin. IDK if you will be able to polish the rust surrounding at the end of the tips.
yea its not alot of surface rust, that a good clean might get rid of. ima take a bristle pad to it and see what im working with. as far as sanding it, what process do you go about when doing it? any wet sanding in the progression of grits? or just go up grits... and what ones
Well the reason why people wet sand is to save sand paper. So I'd just wet sand until you're finished polishing. I would start with a really low grit on the surface rust like 180 for example. The other spots I would start with 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, then 2000. Then take a lint free cloth dab your favorite compound and just rub it til it starts to shine. Works even better with a buffer. Remember the longer you sand with each grit, the easier it will start to shine as you progress and go on to the next grit. Good luck!
thanks jerry! i used 320/400 cause its what i had just to start and see how much work i had ahead of me and i just finished for tonight, already im happy with the progress after an hour
that rust isnt bad if i work at it, i plan on taking off the tips so i can get around the pipes better, and prob buy new ones to give it a brand new look when done.
