After owning these SSRs and seeing the shape my rotas were in I will never consider buying another set of rotas, even for daily wheels

 

sanding by hand or with a da? how long it take man?

I sanded them by hand with 400 grit, 800 grit then 1000 grit.
Took me two days

dam my header is in horrable shape so i think i may sand it next weekend.

 

Its worth it
But when you get to 800 grit and 1000 grit you have to sand in all a straight motion so they get shinny and chrome

 

so i just became jealous. i went to go sell my cf intake to my friend, he said he was geting a b series honda soon. and i show up at autzone and hes sitting in a fully converted rhd jdm sir-g front teg, champ white fresh paint with everything shaved, itr motor, he bought it from a guy in arizona for under double digits!!. the thing is so perfect its crazy. i hate him.

 

Just picked up some 15" slips today... they are black for now.. but before I put them on I'm repainting them... bc lets face it.. everyone has blk slips lol

all the two of you are doing is perpetuating the knockoff market. If people stop buying their shitty replicas then they will stop making them. I understand you are 2 people but its a domino effect. The more people stop buying rotas the less money they make and the less product they produce. Support REAL companies instead.

 

car sounds cool but i dont see the excitement in buying a car with that much work done to it. i know "built not bought" is a little played but its what separates the true enthusiasts from the band-wagoners.

 

I understand what you're saying. But after building my motor and paying for college I don't have enough money to spare to buy "real" wheels or lips or whatever. I put much more pride in my engine rather than my appearance, however I want it to look decent so I'll buy what's priced well.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I even went a step further and bought something that isn't even running. When I'm done with my Integra I can legit say I started from scratch.

On a sidenote, I've already spent $1,500 on just parts. And they're not even considered "modifications".
