this goes against my because so and so does it. but these are educated..highly educated with high financial implications if they are not the correct decisions. and auto manufacturers strive to keep liability costs as low as possible. whether it be personal injury or warranty costs. working for a manufacturer i can tell you they call things as small as speakers back to correct the problem and update the part so they dont have to dish the extra cash out for free warranty parts/labor.
but for the mass produced affordable vehicle. 99.9% of them come with reclining seats with a 3 point belt.
depending on the series but ALL race cars come with a fixed back seat with variations of bolsters to protect the driver. and ALL of these cars come with roll over protection whether it be a roll bar/cage in a dtm car to a roll hoop in an indycar.
the engineers designed it like this for a reason. once you change oe parts you need to take the precautions to keep you and your car safe.

it doesn't mean the settings can't change. you are taking apart the whole front suspension, you'd run into alot less potential alignment issues in the future if you wait until AFTER the swap.. especially considering you're doing the swap and the alignment around the same time.
A harness bar that attaches to the b-pillar? What part about being crushed in your seat didn't you understand? Nevermind...go for it.

This is all that remains of a 2000 Honda Civic that crashed in a suspected high speed race last night on Highway 404. The driver, an east Toronto resident survived with minor injuries. His passenger, a 22 year old Florida resident is in hospital and if she survives, is facing possible paralysis from the neck down.

in a roll over situation most cars are designed not to completely flatten the area of the passenger compartment. if they did, a break away seat back is the last of your worries. race cars have roll over protection because their expected speed of travel is higher and because all race series regulations require it.

agreed. if you are doing a swap and then changing suspension parts then you alingment is going to change..it might be ever so slightly but it still will change. when i get my car aligned i am sitting in it with 105lbs of ballast sitting in the passenger seat. that is to compensate for having/not having a rider so it is a happy medium.

yes obviously you have a.b.c pillars for a reason. that is why most/all organizations make convertibles without roll bars keep their tops up. and of course a "break away" seat might not collapse like expected but the fixed back does not have that "feature".

yeah if you have already done the suspension then do it to it. once the swap is done hit it up again. maybe let the shop know the situation and tell them you want to bring it back in to check the specs once it is done. it would be a good test mule. put thought against real life. i dont think it will change much ~.5 degree here or there. but that can still add up.

He rolled over because he was racing on the streets like a ricer. I've talked to a lot of people and I just dont see my car rolling over. Its a miniscule chance that something like that will happen but oh well. Im going to run a stock seat belt. The belt still works you know... just in a rollover its a diff story. My car isnt likely at all for a flip. Anyways, I appreciate the feedback and whatnot. I just wanted some more opinions. I'm getting a daily hopefully soon and so with that said I would only drive my car a little bit and then park it for the winter.
sparco adv. i dont like the head bolsters but i bought the seat around my build. short and thick. lol.
