got the exhaust welded up today. i also drove the car to work. this was the first time i drove it more than 10miles in a trip. i would say it was awesome but i was so nervous my ******* was puckered. putting on a baffled pan tonight as well as a few other things. pretty stoked overall. pretty much have the car i always dreamed/wanted now. a k swap would be nice. lol. maybe in the future.

What are you running for suspension? Also, you should def hit up those window trims with some flat black paint, I did mine really quick and they came out great. Just use a flathead to get the plastic out and then use some newspaper and get it taped up and shoot it. Helps a lot. Why is your paint so fresh lol!

 

yeah thats on the list but i just need it running in tip top shape before this weekend for autox. paint isnt that fresh. the front bumper and lip are new and sprayed. other than that it is original paint and the hood is newer paint but came off my first hatch. it is also carbon so it.s a bit off color wise. also the car hasnt even been washed in over 2 years. lol.

 

also my suspension is koni spss3 with 550lb front and 650lb rears. no arbs yet. maybe a 22mm towards the end of the summer. i had a 13mm gsr but it doesnt bolt up to my asr.

 

How are those? I was going with them I wanted a full coilover and those are sleeves and people seem to be a bit weary about that? I dont even know dude. I see a lot of people running them and saying they are great for the money, do you have the tophats as well? Im going to get the ASR subframe+24mm sway bar kit in the fall. ***** tight.

What trim is your EG btw? I hope to see it at IA?!

 

well of actual coilovers ive owned i have had tein ra.s with custom rates(still on the sedan now)..ksports(to dump the **** out of the sedan back in the day)..now these. the only reason id want "one piece" coilovers is you dont have to assemble anything. lol.

yes i have extended top hats front and rear..mind you these dampers are not the ots yellows. they are shortend and valved differently. softer rates than the ra.s..and as of now they are flipping awesome. i havent pushed them around corners or anything yet.

my hatch is a 94cx and no i wont be at ia. i will be at wmhm10. tracking it out.

so it went well..started off not as planned. it was a big event..2 region event. one of our buddies was running super late. so we only got one course walk done(fast one at that)..i was the last car to tech. so you can see what i mean by not planned. lol.

anyways 75% of the miles on my hatch were put on driving up there. the location of the event meant only the regulars were coming to play so i knew i had my hands full. coned my first 2 runs..third run was a high 55. but i knew i had some time to drop..i text my buddy working and said 54..watch. i did that dropped a mid 54. i was stoked. i was the 2nd fastest fwd car in class but was 8th in class after the 4th run..top 6 trophied. i wanted one. i said go for it. went out on the final run and cut a 53.9. it put me in 6th for a minute until a sti bumped me to 7th. so i was one spot out of a trophy. i beat a regular in a gsr which i was surprised..kevin miller which drives an itr and i wouldnt consider just a regular but a veteran..lol..was the only fwd in front of me which i expected anyway.

it was good to go out and finally beat on the car and get a farmers tan working the corner. lol.

Unfortunately...Our event was canceled, (to be rescheduled to a later date) due to a torrential downpour and lightning. I changed two of my four tires in the rain, (no biggie, I have a rain suit)...but then it just kept coming and coming...and with that...not many people showed up so we had to call the event. We need enough people at the event to be able to pay for atleast most of the event site cost...and that wasn't gonna happen with all the chicken no-showers. So we packed up the course, (which was only 80% complete a 8:20am) I changed my tires back to stock in the rain and went home.

 

damn thats no good. yeah it was overcast for the first 2 run groups. then the third which i worked was pretty sunny and my neck is red to say the least.

and yeah the debut went well. i could have been a sissy and ran smf but the field isnt strong. they field a decent amount but noone runs r comps and are a bit off pace which i knew when i registered. so i figured id be a man and go play with the big dogs. lol. but i would have placed 1st in smf but oh well it was fun beating the awd turbo guys. lol.
