the headgasket went bad. as far as i can tell, its coolant that had the water 'boiled' out of it. here is the story.......

one night when starting my car up for a delivery.... pure white smoke from the tailpipe and VERY rough idle. i am sitting there like WTF?? shut it off and try again, same thing. i call up AAA and get my free towing back to my house, and now i cant get it to have the same symptoms. i am really confused at this point. i throw my hands up and go to bed.

next day (or week actually) it started to smoke intermittently, but only at startup, and when the car was still pretty warm. but now, the smoking would go away after a couple of seconds. i drove it like this for 7 days. on day 7, the smoke came back to never leave again. called up AAA again and had it towed home again.

i decided on the motor swap instead of fixing it because d series motors ore sooooo cheap. and the fact of LOWER mileage and VTEC really convinced me.
