My hatch got impounded today. ******* Pig made a huge illegal u-turn in mid day traffic just to pull me over for my "modified exhaust" and then asked me to pop my hood and was like "that's a jdm engine isn't it?" Long story short he said I have so many violations against me that he's gonna have to impound it and store it for 30 days... Hopefully I get it back sooner cause I heard so many fucked up stories of what people do to cars in the impound. ******* Pig had nothing better to do I guess...

sucks... did he say what the violations were to be able to store it for 30 days?

I didn't even know they could impound a car for what should essentially be a big fix it ticket.

also, my dad has friends in the towing business... Im prety sure they have to keep cars worth over $5k(or something like that) indoors, so hopefully they toss you a gimme on that one and keep it inside.

 

oh well, sucks to hear, but up for our tax money being put to work and keeping u darn illegal modification drivers with ur loud exhaust systems off of the streets. haha.

 

I'm glad I live in SC, where it's not illegal to have jdm swaps and loud exhausts. Sorry to hear that happened man...

dammm...that sucks charlie. call them up on monday, when i was impounded for suspicion of stolen car parts, the cop told me the same thing that the car would be impounded for 30 days, i was impounded on saturday & called them on monday & they said i could pick up the car. of course it cost hella bank though what were the violations they wrote you up on?

I think just the fact that I had an illegal "jdm" engine swap set him off, he's was being an *** but in a real subtle way...

And yeah the tow guy and even the cop assured me that they'd treat my car real "gingerly" and they said they'd make sure to park it near all the cameras... But I also took my camera video phone and recorded everything inside and out.

Yeah some of my other friends told me the same thing that when they were told their cars were gonna be impounded for 30days they still got it back within the week. Well aside from the swap and illegal modifications the cop said I had a suspended license which all goes back to what I wrote last time in the thread about my friend dicking me over on a ticket he was suppose to pay. I had recently paid off that ticket not too long ago but I guess I had a failure to appear? I just remember taking care of that ticket through the DMV cause I also had to renew my tag's so I was thinking might as well kill two birds with one stone. The DMV person didn't even tell me about anything about the court and assured me everything was cleared and fine now...

****...that sucks, sounds like the cop was kool about it, considering most of time when you a get a failure to appear you get a bench warrant out. just hope you learned now, dmv & court are different, they don't connect together. go get bar'd now and you can probably get it dismissed in court considering it is a "replacement" engine
