All I got to do is fix my clutch isses and ill be back to see what the gsr can pull on the azeines. Charile my only advice is try the street tires and go from there.......I bogged bad at the track.....when on the street I would spin. I ended up launching at 5500rpms and pulled a 1.8 60 ft and then no more gears to go into..........I say first time just find some dr. Do some passes on the advans tires then throw the drs on.

I'll be picking up a 1992 Honda Civic Si this summer so I can get my act back together. The plan is to swap the motor with a K20A2 that I'll be getting for about $2000 (complete swap) from an 2004 RSX Type-S
Get ready for my 10 EH

both......havent you seen that one old car commercial?....WIDER IS BETTER!! LOL...J/K!! another factor i decided to go with the Axis wheels instead is that i had an extra inch of contact on the road since they are 15x8. it feels like i hug the ground more with these wheels compared to the 7" width wheels i'm used to running. my car is somewhat low and i do not have any problems with rubbing whatsoever. i had more problems rubbing with the stock '02 civic steelies with stock tires at the same height.

7.5 is much better...I know you said that you didn't want to spend the money but it's all about the outcome. Volk CE28's 15X7.5 8.3lbs $1300
Not as wide but twice as light

that's a good price on the volks too
i'd rather use the extra money to spend on go fast goodies or my house mortgage. there are cheaper ways for weight reduction

Did you have to roll your fenders? (I know know nothing about rims but bolt patterns and sizes.)
