i checked all my fuses and they are good...checked all the wiring that i could see and everything looked normal (under the hood that is). Maybe there is something i should look for under the dash or around the steering column?

are you sure the contacts on the switch are good and at the right spot? seems kinda odd, that the corner and taillights are on if though you have the switch off. Maybe the contacts for the switch are ont he wrong spots, are being jumped/connected.

At the end of the switch (the part that is on the steering coulum) theres contacts on it, where the switch toggles, check those see if they're good, and nothings shorting or connecting them. Then make sure the switch is contacting the spots at the right spots and connections are good. or try a whole new one, the whole assembly, try a different one.

well the first switched that accually started melting is the one that poped when i went to turn off the lights...today i put in a new switch...and the new one is the one that makes the running lights stay on....its just kind of weird that the new switch didnt solve the problem.....im not sure i understand about the contact points at the end of the switch...and what are the chances of having bad contact points on both switches? im sure that with the first switch something melting inside the twisting part of the switch...and when i went to turn it off i broke what ever part melted....but the new switch was fine there....i have no idea what to do....but im pretty sure the problem has to be somewhere around the steering column..cuase nothing looks out of the ordinary under the hood...are there any pics or anything you could show me that i shoudl check?

nah, no pics. Well when you replaced the "switch" did you just replace the stick for the headlights, or the whole assembly? ie. the part around the steering coumn with headlight switch and windshield wiper switch... Have you checked the wiring that goes to the switches on the steering coulumns for any breakage?

its supposed to help, by how much, not very much. Its supposed to decrease the amount of drag on the vehicle, instead of air passing under the vehicle going into the rear bumper and getting stuck causing the bumper to act like a parachute, that piece is to allow the air to keep flowing under the car and not getting into the bumper to make that parachute effect. its on vx models.

Does the VX guage cluster have the shift light like the HX clusters?

its the same harness, but it splits into two different connections. Try replacing the whole ting first though. the thieves broke my wiper switch when the jacked my car, the front wipers woldnt work, but the rear wiper would work fine. I was just going to replace just hte switch too, but i ended up just replacing the whole thing since it was easier to do and i got it really cheap. I wold try just replacing the whole ting first, its easy. Just held down by two screws. Course you have to remove hte steering wheel and ish, but its easy as hell.

Man bad new's, one of my homie's got his '92-95 Ferio stolen the same day/spot I was with him at. Black 4door with the usual amber corners/sidemarkers slammed on some Rota AutoX's, gone in a matter of seconds...

airplane fuel is leaded, its bad for your cat, sensors, and basically your motor due to carbon buildup.

they sell unleaded 110 at a couple gas stations in fresno, and that is safe for your car.
