Offical eH squad list.
Finally got the 10 inch rear brake set up on and drove it. I had everything mocked up before, but the caliper wouldn't go over the pads. I checked out this DIY thread and he had the same issue. He shaved the pads down. I was definitely not doing such a thing. So, I took the rotors into work. I checked the OE specs. The thickness new is supposed to be something like .352-.360 inch or 8.9-9.1mm. The micrometer read in inches, the rotor read .38, so it was obviously too thick. They trimmed down to ~.345-.347. It all went on, I had issue with one slider holding air in the sleeve. Also, the RSX sliders have a longer "flange" where the bolt threads in, so I used the Integra one. The RSX bolts had more thread, though, so they worked out better.
I don't have the car insured to drive, so I just went around the neighborhood. The fronts aren't done, but I only braked in a straight line hard. No craziness. I can't wait to have the fronts done.
I will have time to drive on them before the track, next year. I just need the pads for the front and I'll be golden like a shower. I'd like to have it done before Christmas.

Well, when they are there and you don't have any sort of air cutting tool. You have to use tin snips which aren't good for just trimming given the angles. You then decide to cut them off, but the bolt hole locations have thicker steel. You then have yourself a situation like Jersey Shore. So, what do you do? You throw your hands up and the shield spins showing that the bottom side doesn't have the thicker steel. Now, you are good. Use a screwdriver through the hole in the hub, pull that bottom flange up, and then snip it. Two sets of channel locks and some force in opposite directions, then finally, the shield is off.

my weekend was a blast. I got to co-drive a prepped C-stock rx-8 on 285 hoosier a6's. I learned a lot to put into my driving. I was expecting to be 3-4 second's behind my friend how own's the car and has years more seat time. I need to tighten up my line's a bit more and trust the grip those tire's give. He ran a 43.890 to my 45.6xx. Fun car to drive. Very predictable and forgiving. Here's the video's. Mine will be on top.

I just copy and pasted from NWP.
i have 10" ep3 rear brakes on mine, using a rsx caliper bracket
edit- heres a link to a diy, its all bolt on if you already have rear disc brakes either integra or 99-00 si

Here is an "update" from my time spent doing this.
I clicked the link and browsed the parts, that was it. My mistake, I get everything on, except the pads. I mock the pads and even with the pistons "all the way in", the caliper doesn't go over the pads. Hmmm, so I come back to the thread to see if this person had the same issue. Of course they did. I work at Acura, so I check out the rotor specs, thinking the RSX and Si rotor would be the same thickness. The Integra and RSX are, but the Si is not.
Integra/RSX-
New- .35-.358inch thick. Service limit is .31
Si-
New- .389-.397in. Service limit is .35.
Not knowing this before, I cut the rotors(which measure .38, before) to .347/.348. These rotors are solid, so I am not too worried. I will just have to keep "tabs" on them, next year.
I might have to use that dandy rotor reference guide to see if there is something else out there.

Watching your video, I was going to say to not be so abrupt, especially in that back slalom. But, after watching the owner's video, he has more pitch/speed through there. AutoX videos are "hard", I would just say, get closer to your "marks" and not expect to be slower by "3 to 4 seconds".

Well, the heck with your friend. Maybe I am just too competitive, but I would want to beat him, no matter the circumstances. When I drove Robbie's car, it was the first time that I drove a RWD car in awhile. There was a huge concrete tire inches from the track, also on a banked part, where there was a lot of weight transfer. I kept TC on, he had it off. First run, he lit my doors up, but I expected that. After the third run, I had him. Last run, the fifth, he got me. I had fun, but I was still pissed. haha.
