well..i guess i will give a run down of the weekend and the work i got done.
sunday i went out in the garage and got the vtec issue solved. but i have always had a throttle cable bracket issue. i had the nut all the way back off..as "loose" as it gets but yet i have to offset the bracket. which in turn allows me to only use one bolt. i have a skunk2 og itr style intake manifold which i didnt think would be the problem. but i saw somewhere that if you have an itr style manifold that you needed to have an itr cable bracket. boom. done deal. umm no the bracket difference was about 2mm difference from stock. ok well ill try an itr throttle cable. so i hold them next to each other and it looks as if it might work. put it in..nope. so i mock the bracket and mark the spots then drill it out. boom. works perfect with 2 bolts in there. (claudio this is what we were talking about before with motor swaps etc. stuff is rarely just "bolt on".)
then yesterday i put on the front springs. i figured while i was at it i might as well put on the hardrace a arms i had laying around. i hate when you buy something of a decent amount then you have to put it all together. it is like "didnt i pay for that." and the pinch bolts they send you dont have enough thread and the nuts arent locking so it is kind of sketchy. oh well i will monitor it and see how it goes. but i took it out on a test drive afterwards. holy adios caster..this thing turns super sharp now. it is kind of odd but i will get used to it. im just not used to that quick of steering.

alot of cars are hard parkers man. its funny. i drove my hatch every where i went. i will drive my hatch like that again. only time it will see anything like that is if im taking the family to an event so that way if i break something i can load up and just go home.
exactly.
i used to think like that myself. but here is my point of view now. if you have the means/funds to trailer your car and which you do so. more power to you because you have worked/earned the right to do so.
last year a guy brought out his 997 turbo to bmw school on saturday. on sunday he brought out his f430 some random edition that is not a scuderia. the dude was in beginner class is some extremely quick vehicles and well he was extremely slow. but who cares he is out on track having a good time in something he enjoys.
to some people driving your "nice" car everyday or atleast when it is nice is fun. but to others it is not a necessity like me. 4cylfiend wants me to bring my car out every weekend. i brought it out once. to me..what is the point. the car is a track car and that is what i like to do with it. i got vtec fixed..most would want to go rip on it. i hit vtec twice to make sure no cels would pop up. it went back in the garage after that. yesterday i did another test drive. hit vtec maybe 5 times with no cels. back to the garage then i did the springs/a arms. i drove it around the block to make sure there wasnt any rubbing and never went above 3k.
so i guess just like what you choose to do with the car is the same as how you drive/treat/etc your car. it is your car so whatever floats your boat then do so. you arent in "it" for anyone else.

I totally agree with what your saying. Its whatever you wanna do cuz its your car, your money you know? but idk i just feel like you put all this money into your car and you dont even enjoy it, whats the point? Idk but like you said it comes down to w.e floats your boat.
that is why i used purrrfection. cmon guys.
i agree. i used to feel the same way. but i used to drive that car every day it was nice. now i drive it when i autox or track it. and i enjoy it alot more now than i did before.

i knew i knew. but on other notes im just hella excited to be gettign another pt job. now i got to really figure out some ****.
Bay is coming along nice! Do you have a pic of the whole car you could post? I dont remember it.
It sucks when you don't fix something for the longest time and then you give it a shot and it was something silly, driving around for mad long without something when it was a simple fix.
My front speaker wiring doesnt work and its because of the door connector bc I know it has a bad ground but I'll be mad if it was simply just dirt in there lol. Driving without front speakers for 2 years :/
I see. Just have to bust out the mechanic skills during those times
Said the same thing, I didnt understand why they would rock a busted vc like that.

As for the trailers, I think its weird to build a car and not drive it to meets, isn't that part of the fun? I would love to drive to a meet when everything is on point, just gives you that good feeling.
