Offical eH squad list.
suby = new trunk, coilovers, new suspension bushings all around, tint, new stereo.
truck = a professional detail.. the water spots on it are FAR above my car care level.
bike = tires, helmet, couple small things.
obviously, the subaru needs the most money, but I also drive it the most.

the bike is yours now? Nice. I'll be seeing you on the slopes soon
Our club has loner helmets...but I got mine from soloracer.com a few years ago for this price: http://soloracer.com/pyroopenfacesa.html
really no other costs for the day besides filling up with gas. also take a cooler with food/drinks and then if you and your buddies eat afterwards.
you will be in st which is a competitive class in most regions but most of the cars are slow so the driver shows. my first autox was in the sedan and after run 2 i was second in class out of like 12-15 cars if i remember right. third run i come out of the box and snap a half shaft so i end up getting fourth. now i am in the hatch which i run sms because it is where i consider the big dogs are. i could have won every event this year in smf even on street tires but sms i am a huge underdog. basically if you have a swapped honda you are in street mod and in my region there are only 3 fwd cars that run sms. me..kevin miller in his itr he has had/autoxed since 00 is always 1 or 2..my buddy kyle has autox now for like 4 years and he is now in a k20(240ish whp) integra. i dont really pay attention to the sti/evo/etc guys i just try to keep up with those 2. i got kyle in his tuned gsr the first event but him and kevin got me in the 2 others. im normally in the top half of the class and am going to try to go home with a few trophies this year..if they let me run. lol.
im pretty sure gabe is always in the trophies in his region. i dont really know what his class is like but i know last year they didnt/couldnt field a sms class. he would be better to fill you in on that.

Yup. Take a cooler with drinks, (water is best), lunch, (I usually make a sammich and have some chips or something), snacks like bananas, granola bars or any other veggie/fruit you like to eat that is quick. Sometimes our club has a bbq lunch break after the first two run group first heats if we're at a more remote location far from gas stations or food venues, (we generally have two run groups with two heats of 2-3 runs each heat because our attendance is generally under 80 drivers).
I run SM, (Street Modified) because like what Brad said, motor swap puts me in that class. We don't have a large enough group to do SMF but if I do nationals this year, (which is in the plan) I will run SMF. I'm generally 1st or 2nd in my class at a regional event. I've never done any divisional or national level events so I'm sure the better/more competition would push me down a bit...but you never know. This will be my 6th season so in my club I'm no longer a novice.

Squad up!
Ive been MIA for a bit but Ive been working on the transmission. Seems like everytime I examine the parts more closely it needs something else. The way its looking it should be back together sometime next week. This **** is getting expensive but at least I'll know the condition of my tranny is mint.

That is the same thing that is happening with my setup. It pissed me off @ first and I ended up putting everything in a giant tupperware bin, I went back @ it yesterday and organized everything out and saw somethings I didnt notice the first time around. Mainly the teeth for the 5th/Reverse hub on the mainshaft was destroyed. Add that to the fact I forgot some of the order when reassembing since I go to school in between the periods I get to work on the car made for a semi-frustrating time. Ive spent more on my transmission than my car. I'm putting some miles on this **** before I even think about going K.

Im getting close to that if I include the purchase price. But your right, knowing that something you did is not at fault is a great feeling. Kinda hinders other things I want to buy for my car like GC/Koni setup and ASR rear brace with LCAs. But I think I can hold off on that a lot longer than a transmission. I think the only things that arent getting replaced are the gears since they are in good condition. The previous owner beat the **** out of my transmission. But its all good now.
@ Gabe- Are you still running an ITR tranny or b16?

my story involves buying a "gsr" trans in good working order. ummm try a ls trans with a spacer missing so the diff took a huge dump inside the case. so i ended up running b16 main/countershafts with ls gears and an itr lsd. but i did replace all the seals/bearings/spacers etc.
I sold my 98 Spec ITR tranny before I got this car...but this one came with a USDM B16 trans and I put a JDM B16 LSD in it last winter. The only up side to this tranny is the LS 5th gear but I can't really complain.

Mine should be stout once it is finished. Ive already received my LS 5th (mainshaft and counter) and new collar for the 5th/Rev hub. Im about to order a new mainshaft and 5th/Rev hub. I just need to go over the reassembly process to make sure everything is right. I dont want to do this thing twice if it comes to an error on my part. The sooner I get this done the sooner I get to drive my baby again.
