. It's in the process of getting an entire makeover and overhaul - think ASM. Due to the rumors, I'll have to let 4 cats out of one big bag prematurely. It'll get a treatment along the same lines as my Mugen S2k (mostly one brand) rather than the hodge-podge created in the blue one. ETA completion: 2.5 years. Why so long? There's 3 other projects behind it in the following order:
1) Acquisition of a Mugen Formula 3 car (to be completed by next week; car received mid-February); Custom-fitting seats into the f3 car; Test-runs at TWS before tracking it regularly; ETA: 3 months
2) Restoration of a 1965 Honda S600 (refreshen the motor; repaint car; restore hardtop); Acquisition of another 1965 Honda S600 parts car (to be picked up this summer from Canada). ETA completion: 1 year
3) Complete Mugenization of the yellow Mugen S2000 (replace all non-Mugen parts; complete Mugen catalogue on yellow car). ETA: 1.5 year
4) De-modify the blue Tracy S2000 (Mugen parts to go into Mugen S, some will be kept); Build ASM S2000 based on whatever's left. ETA: 2.5 years
If I locate another Mugen Civic-RR after missing my last opportunity to buy one near MSRP last week
, that will inevitably delay projects #2-4.

That's awesome dude, can't even fathom the stuff and projects you have going on.
Shawn yes, Rays did manufacture them for production, but didn't design them, an independent contractor actually designed them for Mugen. Urmil knows more then I do on the story, and even knows the designer of the MF10 personally. I'd love to meet the designer of the best wheel ever designed one day.

Regarding Mugen's sources for their parts, it's the same with Spoon, ASM, J's Racing, etc...
Case in point. Mugen and Spoon's coilovers are from Showa. Showa is owned by Honda. Mugen's brake rotors are from Honda. Mugen's race motors (F3, F3000, F1) are all from Honda as well. I think the MF-10s are either from Rays or OZ. The Mugen CF hardtop and hoods are from Voltx. ASM's CF hood, trunk, wings, and doors are from Voltx. J's Racing's BBK is from Endless. ASM's seats are from Recaro (German). Their coilovers are from Sachs (also German, they make suspension for Porsche).
You should focus on the quality of the part rather than name-brand or whether it's JDM
