This car/driver in particular just got caugh up in a peculiar situation. I was leading this group back to Fontana Village...we were taking it very easy. He inadvertently put the right rear wheel slightly off the right side of the road...unsettled the car in a corner that is uneven with small bumps and dips. It led to some bump steer and with no run-off, he took it over the side of the road and down the hill.
The owner/driver is very experienced older driver (more years of seat time than many, many H-T'ers have been on the face of this Earth). In fact, he happens to be from England with lots of time behind the wheels of fast cars, on narrow curvy roads.
It was just one of those situations, "Hey, how the hell did that happen!" I'm almost inclined to think that had we been pushing it on the way back to Fontana Village, this may not have happened. There may not have been the complacancy (sp?) that w may have had at lower speeds.

I cantacted the guy I bought it from, havent heard back from him yet, I cant really complain because I feel I got it for a good price, but the box had nothing in it except the wing, no bubble wrap, paper, stuffing, just the wing and the box(s) speaks for itself. gonna go to the bodyshop and see what they can do for me.
