Weren't those the Torneo? I dont think Japan had Accords like ours that year. I could be wrong tho

Yeah, they called it the Torneo ... same chassis (and lots of parts) though. I don't think they even had an Accord for that generation. They have the Torneo and the Inspire (our 3.5 RL).

I won't say you're 100% wrong, but I believe the Inspire is the TL and the 3.5RL is still called the Legend in Japan.

Yeah, that is right. The TL is the Inspire/Saber and the RL is the Legend. I always get the Alpha-Num ones mixed up ... I can tell the new ones apart

But the part about the Accord/Torneo was right

The Toreno replaced the Ascot when it started being built on the Accord chassis.

The new TL body style to my knowledge was/is actually a full USDM car. Probably the reason that Acura is now being sold.....or is going to be sold in Japan.

Sorry to burst your bubbles but that is an accord pictured, torneo is built on the same chassis but have different front/rear lights and bumpers etc..

I think he meant the previous gen TL's were Inspires...and the current gen RL's are Legends.

I know nothing of Accords

But I think you're right, it looks like an Accord SiR-T
