Hey guys when you removed the mugen badges from your wings how did you guys mount them again after the parts were painted?I know double sided tape would work but it would be a shame if a badge was lost due to the tape not holding up well to the weather. Thanks
x2!!
makes me want one
GPs look awesome on what look to be some ballin' brakes
Thats what I figured, but good to be reassured
I've been using and trusting that stuff all my life and seems like the best/strongest stuff you can get commercially...3M/scotch :thumbup
I used the clear mounting tape on my badge and works great...holds up and no falling off
I even make sure by heating the tape up before I put it on so it bonds/cures better
Only thing I don't like is the thickness of the tape itself and how it makes the badge "raised" and not as flush as possible
almost makes me consider trying to find just an adhesive itself to apply directly on the badge w/o tape

The best recommended tape is from Radio Shack 3M VHT mounting tape is like US$3....
That is what they look like...from a close up.

PS. Your DelSol is fire!!!

Not all 3M tape is the same and I sure as hell wouldn't use the crap they sell at home depot.
I think you mean 3M VHB (Very High Bond) which is what I would recommend. When I sold my emblems to jdmscg that is what I gave him to use. It is rated to hold up to 90 lbs. per square inch which should hold the emblems just fine. It is also able to be removed without taking any paint with it if the emblem needs to be removed. It can be bought through McMaster.com for $26 for a roll of 15 feet or try Radio Shack like HONDATSX recommends.

The short R26s actually look really good on there...perfect fit as the extended r40s would probably be too long for GPs and stick out imo
thanks a lot man...appreciate it

got some new pics this weekend...

You can buy 3M tape with different thickness. Most 3M tape is 0.045'' thick but you an get as thin as 0.015'' for the 3M VHB tape. You probably won't get must thinner as clear scotch tape is 0.006'' thick.

will definitley look into it as it seems like exactly what I'm looking for
Ya i was thinking about double sided scotch as that would be the thinnest but not to confident in it holding....think i need a bit of "cushion" in the tape/adhesive itself to since its not a perfectly flat surface its being applied on so won't make 100% contact and stick if that makes sense.
